IC200CPU001 Description
The IC200CPU001 is a CPU designed by GE as part of the Versamax series. The IC200CPU001 is designed with two serial ports and has nonvolatile flash memory for program storage. The IC200CPU001 module is 66.8 mm x 128mm in size. Memory storage is supported by battery-backed RAM.
The two serial ports of the IC200CPU001 module include RS-232 and RS-485, which are software configurable for SNP and RTU slave or serial I/O operation. The port will automatically adjust as needed. Both IC200CPU001 ports default to configuration in SNP slave mode and will automatically go back to SNP slave when the CPU is in Stop mode. Both ports have the ability to establish communications for the CPU and several serial devices. If external devices require 100ma or less at 5VDC, power can be derived from Port 2. Port 1 is identified as the boot loader port for upgrading the CPU firmware.
An attachment can be configured directly to an adapter. Port 1 and Port 2 screw locks are threaded. During power-up of the IC200CPU001, configuration is created which includes all modules that are currently in the system initiating at slot 1. Auto-configuration will cease at the first empty slot or faulted module.
