The Internal Dismantling Of Schneider PLC Is Really Amazing(3)

  • 2021-06-09

After opening the back cover, you can see the back of the M262 motherboard. The green PCB board used is well-made, uniform in color, smooth and flat, without any odor. The densely packed solder joints are arranged neatly, and they have been specially fixed. They are not burrs like ordinary commercial computer motherboards, and they don't touch the touch at all. It is particularly worth mentioning that there is a thin stainless steel plate attached to the inside of the upper cover, and there are 2 buckles on it for rail installation. This whole stainless steel plate can not only prevent dust from entering the PLC, but also shield EMI well. Electromagnetic interference is very important for PLC stability. You will see the same design when you open the top cover.

After opening the bottom cover, you can directly remove the top cover. After removing it, you can see that the upper and two sides of the PLC are also covered with a thin steel plate. In this way, except for the two sides for heat dissipation, the four sides of the PLC are designed to shield EMI.

Next, remove the shielding steel plate on the M262. This steel plate is fixed by the two outer hexagonal studs on the side of the encoder interface and the two inner hexagonal screws on both sides of the middle. You need to use an outer hexagonal screwdriver or needle-nose pliers. open. After unscrewing these 4 screws, the shielding cover can be removed, and the true face of M262 is exposed in front of our eyes.

We can see that the entire M262 design is very compact and regular. It adopts a modular structure, which is easy to realize distributed configuration. It is composed of a main board and 4 vertical expansion boards. The 5 boards are fixed by a metal frame. The structure is sturdy and has strong anti-vibration and impact performance. The 4 expansion boards are network communication module, input and SD memory card module, power supply module and input module in sequence.
We can pull out the M262 motherboard directly from the bottom. You can see a huge aluminum heat sink on the motherboard. Below is the CPU of this PLC. Of course, no fan is used to dissipate heat in the PLC. There are gold deposits all around the board, which not only enhances the flatness of the board, but also ensures a good grounding of the board. The thickness of the board has reached 2mm, the rigidity is very good, and there is no slight deformation with both hands.

This is the input and output module circuit board of M262. It has I/O input and output, encoder interface and expansion interface. The whole board is the same as the main board. The design is very neat and the workmanship is exquisite.
