Description

The ABB RED670 is a line differential protection IED (Intelligent Electronic Device) that is used for the protection, control, and monitoring of overhead lines and cables in all types of networks. It can be used up to the highest voltage levels and is suitable for the protection of heavily loaded lines and multi-terminal lines where the requirement for tripping is one-, two-, and/or three-pole. The IED is also suitable for protection of cable feeders to generator blocks and transformers.
The RED670 is a modular IED that can be configured to meet the specific requirements of each application. It offers a wide range of protection, control, and monitoring functions, as well as a variety of communication options. The IED is easy to use and maintain and is backed by ABB's global support network.
