The 239 is motor protection relay offered by GE. The 239 is designed to fully protect three-phase AC motors against conditions which may cause damage. The 239 protects motors and has options to protect the associated mechanical equipment. The 239 will give an alarm before any damage happens from a process malfunction. The 239 will assist in diagnosing issues and allow for a verification to correct the relay operation during the motors routine maintenance. The 239 has a sleek compact design which assists on installation cost. The 239 incorporates thermal models for enhanced protection. The 239 has multiple setpoint groups allowing for setting flexibility. For simple easy testing, the 239 comes with built-in simulation features. The 239 has temperature asset monitoring. The 239 has a flash memory which allows for product field upgrade. The 239 has a ground fault - trip and alarm. The 239  has Thermal overload with fifteen (15) selectable curves with features such as trip and alarm, immediate current and overload alarm. The 239 has a phase short circuit and a thermal memory lockout. The 239 has an option of single-phasing and current unbalance. The 239 prevents overheating with an over temperature via a thermistor or optional RTD inputs. The 239 assists in breaker failure. The 239 has a multi-speed motor protection. Along with a motor start supervision. the 239 allows for status/current and temperature display. The 239 assist in fault diagnosis. The 239 has a trip record that stores the last five (5) incidents. The 239 has a forty (40) character illuminated display, with six (6) LED indicators. The 239 is also compatible with EnerVista Setup Software.
