GE Fanuc IC200CPUE05 Description
The IC200CPUE05 is a CPU designed by GE for the VersaMax series. The IC200CPUE05 has a built-in interface, which allows it to serve as the system controller for a maximum of 64 modules with up to 2048 I/O points.
The IC200CPUE05 has two serial ports that are software configured for SNP and RTU slave, Serial I/O operation, and for Local Station Manager operation (Port 1 only). When either port is being used for RTU, an automatic switch to SNP slave mode is required. If the IC200CPUEO5 is in Stop mode and the CPU is configured for Serial I/O, a port will automatically return to SNP slave. Port 2 to can offer power to an external device if power requirement is 100 mA or less at 5VDC. Port 1 is an RS-232 port with a 9-pin female connector. If Port 1 is configured for CPU use, it can be forced by using the Ethernet Restart pushbutton. Port 1 will stay in its current mode until PLC is power cycled or the Ethernet Restart pushbutton has been pressed. Port 2 is an R3-485 port with a female D-sub connector that has 15-pins. The port can be used for program, configuration, and updates and can be attached directly to an RS-485/RS-232 adapter.
The IC200CPUE05 module is a user-configurable CPU module manufactured by GE Fanuc as a member of the VersaMax product line. It is part of the VersaMax product family, and it provides all the PLC functionalities in 1 small device. This CPU module works with a maximum of 64 modules and up to 2048 I/O points. It also comes with 2 serial ports which are RS-485 and RS-232 ports that are used for active serial communication. The IC200CPUE05 CPU module comes with a built-in Ethernet Interface and it can be configured seamlessly by the use of programmer software. Other notable specifications of this module include a system flash memory along with a battery-backed RAM. The current rating of this unit is 650 milliamps and it has an input voltage rating of 3.3 Volts DC. It supports DIN rail mounting and it has a configurable memory capacity of 128 KB. The accuracy of this module’s real-time clock is 100 ppm with a delay of -/+ 9 seconds.
The GE Fanuc VersaMax IC200CPUE05 CPU module has a super capacitor which can power the memory for about 1 hour if the power fails. It comes with a run and stop switch to help control its operation and applications. It can also be used to process the floating point data functions in the system. The GE Fanuc IC200CPUE05 CPU module has 2 sets of LED indicators that are located on the lower right corner and the top corner of the module. The LED indicators include the “OK,” “PWR,” “FAULT,” “FORCE,” “RUN,” “PORT 1,” and “PORT 2,” indicators which turn on when the module is powered on and which also send various update messages to the operators. This CPU module supports the instruction list and ladder diagram programming languages.
