Rockwell's New Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5300 Servo Drive
The new Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5300 servo drive is a fully integrated CIP Motion solution. For global machinery manufacturers seeking to improve performance and expect to use a single design environment to achieve control and movement, this solution can be used to produce machinery with market competitiveness. When combined with the new TLP engine, the customer gains competitiveness by expanding the interconnected enterprise into the field of simple machines. This move allows Rockwell Automation to accelerate its growth in emerging markets throughout Asia and mature markets in Europe. From small independent machinery to large complex systems, Rockwell Automation's new products, together with the Kinetix series, can meet the needs of users for different servo drives.
Kinetix 5300 servo drives are designed for various machinery, such as electronic assembly, packaging and conversion, printing and networking (CPW). The new drive also helps simplify the mechanical design and optimize its performance throughout the life of the machine. Like other Kinetix integrated motion drivers, Kinetix 5300 is also developed in the Studio 5000 design environment. Using a single series of servo drives allows the machine manufacturer to program all drives in this design environment and reuse the drive code, thus simplifying the design and debugging process. The native integration of Kinetix 5300 and Logix control system realizes the intelligent adjustment function, which can automatically adjust the changes in inertia and resonance, helping to optimize machine performance and simplify machine maintenance over time.
The expansion of the product portfolio is to provide machinery manufacturers with a complete series of scalable servo drives suitable for many different applications-from stand-alone machinery to large and complex systems with network security functions.
