The TRICONEX 7400207-001 MP2101 is a safety-critical digital input module designed for use in harsh industrial environments. It is part of the TRICONEX Trident safety system, which is widely used in applications such as oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation.
The MP2101 provides 16 channels of digital input, each of which can be configured as either a single-ended or differential input. The module supports a variety of input signal types, including dry contacts, switches, and sensors.
The MP2101 features a redundant main processor baseplate that ensures continuous operation even in the event of a processor failure. The module also includes dual-redundant Ethernet ports for communication with other system components.
The MP2101 is designed to meet the most demanding safety requirements. It is certified for SIL 3 applications by TÜV Rheinland and exida. The module also complies with IEC 61508 and IEC 62061.
